It's weird. Whenever I'm with my boyfriend, Christian, I'm happy and lively and everything. Whenever he's not around, I always want to cry. But then again, sometimes when he is around, I'm insecure, always making sure he loves me and what not. Does anyone have any advice at what this could be??? I mean, I do love him, but it doesn't seem right, ya know??? I do take medication for my depression as well.

Unfortunately, in this day and age, insecurity is common. It's partially to do with the media, and the general "you're never good enough" message coming in from all different directions, and it's partially to do with hormones. In your case it probably is partially related to the depression, also. It's really something you have to get over yourself, you can't just rely on other people. Just remember that you can't truly love another person and allow yourself to be loved until you love yourself. And I know it's easier said than done, trust me.

Think of it this way, if your not okay with yourself how can you be okay with someone else? I think if you work on your self-esteem things will change on in your relationship. It also sounds like you may be a bit co-dependent on him which is something you can work on too. If you don't love yourself you won't believe someone else loves you, and thats bound to cause many problems in relationships. Also this isn't all that uncommon either. Its like that with many girls but you can change it.

Maybe, ttry and like, spend as much time as possible with your boyfriend, and when your not with him, either talk to him on the phone, or do something that will keep your mind off things. I always have a sudoku book near me. Try it it will help. PM me if you need anything
