What do you consider a virgin and not a virgin? I know it's pretty much an opinion and a point of view so what do you think?

Well a common oppinion people say it is someone whos hymen has broken, but I disagree with that because sometimes the hymen can break for reasons relating with nothing to do with sex, so I agree with Anomaly.

I don't use the word "virgin." To me, it's meaningless, because it makes it sound as if you're a different person before you have sex and after you have sex. It also suggests that you "lose" something once you have sex for the first time, which I strongly disagree with. I also think the idea of "first sex" is very fluid. If a het woman said "I had sex for the first time!" to me, I would assume she had vaginal intercourse with a man. If she was talking about first sex with a woman, I'd assume there was manual and oral stimulation, possibly penetration with fingers or a sex toy. If a gay man said he had sex for the first time, I'd assume he was talking about anal sex. But the idea that oral/manual sex is not "real sex" is kind of silly if you think about it. After all, if it's not sex, what is it? Synchronized swimming?

Wow. You people all seem to have a similar mindset. I think a virgin is someone - you know what? I don't like it. I don't like that the media and society and MTV perpetuate the idea that virginity is a nuisance, or something you have to 'lose'. Why? Why do I have to have sex, MTV? Why do you think I should? Because everyone else is? To join the collective? I don't think so.

I supposed is yew put it that way, i'll be a virgin forever..
but i dont believe yew lose something, more like yew gain something...
its a bit stereo typical, and mostly used as man and woman, having vaginal sexual intercourse... which is pretty stupid.
i'm not fond of the word, yew've either had sex or yew haven't.. there isn't a 'word' for it, nor is their a presise description for it.
