I know that when you turn 13 years old, you are supposed "grow up." When you turn 13, for most people, your interests will change, your friends will change, and you really take a big step in maturing. Well for me, it's not like that. For me I still feel like I am 8 or 9 years old. See, I still like "Dragon Tales", "Finding Nemo" and other "kidish" things. I am just not interested in gossip, hot guys, celebs, and painting my nails. I don't know what to do, please help.

Just give yourself some time, dont expect to suddenly be mature

I love Finding Nemo and I still watch the Disney Channel. Disney movies still make me cry! It all depends on you. If you want to watch Dragon Tales and Finding Nemo then don't worry if your "mature" or not since most people your age aren't. Even people older then you aren't.

just be yourself your childhood[and teenage] years of your life are the best you dont have to change that just because of the typical age ppl set for kids to grow up just stay who you are and have as much fun as possible nothing is wrong with that

Eevry one matures differently, you don't suddenly grow up ion your 13th birthday. I'm 15 and LOVE some really 'sad' films. So don't worry!

Yeah, everyone grows up at their own rate-you shouldn't force yourself (If you did, then you'll miss out on alot of fun! ) I love watching tv shows designed for kids...and doing "kids" games as well... I'm 15 and I have never been interested in celebs and beauty and guys that much

Yeah just go with the flow you dont force yourself to grow up its not like you wake up on your 13th birthday and you all of a sudden don't like Dragon tails!! You will grow out of it when you feel like it!

When you turn 13 you don't magically grow up, thats just silly! You will eventually grow out of it if thats what you want to happen but there are people much older then you and I who still have interests in these things and there isn't a problem with it.

Dear Girl
That's an interesting question, because growing up isn't limited to your taste or interests. Some people live their whole lives never liking gossip, celebs, and etc. You can't generalize growing up, because everyone is different.
Lol, you're so cute! I'm so glad you asked this question! It is so cute. ^_^

You will grow out of it when you feel like it! I agree, you might even like these things like Dragon Tails and stuff for your whole life! You will just "grow up" mentally. Don't base it on your likes and dis-likes. My cousin was interested in all these things as well and when she turned 13-14-15 she was still interested in them but her mood changed, she wasn't as hyper/annoying etc. and that was her 'growing up' but she still had the same interests.
