This might come across weird to some people, but im really confused as to why i do this/act like this/feel like this.
Sometimes,if im near a window (usually occurs at night-time when its dark mostly) i get the fear that someone is looking through it at me,and cos its dark,i cant see them,or im scared im going to see them watching me. I dont know why i get this, but i just do. And also..when im going upstairs to bed,the front door is on the side of the stairs,so i have to walk past it. I get a feeling in my head that makes me paranoid someone is watching me,and could shoot me from afar.
Also..i hate hairs. If there on the side of the bath,i cant touch them, especially if there not my own. I squirm if theres one on me,or on the table that doesnt belong to me. Whereas my mum just thinks im weird and has to move hairs for me all the time when i see one.
Does anyone have any suggestions on why im like this. Thanks

Dear Rachel:
There are a million possibilities as to why you might act/think this way. You're not weird. We are who we are, because of what we experience, and I'm sure you have good reason for being this way - even if you are not sure what it is right now.

Don't worry hun... it's like being scared of the dark- you can't help it. Every one has their own fears, like I can't sit with my back facing out, it needs to be against a wall incase some one comes up behind me. It's part of you and your life. And the hair thing. All my teachers get really annnoyed because if I touch under a chair or table by accident, I HAVE to wash my hands because of the germs... Hope you're OK, Sparkle

I dont think its weird at all just like people being scared of spiders or water. I have to go right now I will add more later! Okayt back!! lol If you keep telling yourself you think someone is watching you, you will feel like someone actually is when really know ones there. Do you have lights out side? That might help you ease your fears and also you can make sure blinds and curtains are alwasy closed once it gets dark, If you ever feel really frightened or think u see someone then call the cops and they can come check it out for you.

Thanks everyone. I also thought of another. I cant stand been near minty stuff,or chewing gum, especially when its underneath tables or on chairs. And if theres anything on a chair (even something like a piece of cotton or dust) i have to wipe it off.

I'm scared of the dark...buti can understnad why you are afraid of going by doors and having people looking at you through the window. When i am home alone i lock all the doors and windows and practically sit on the floor in the middle of the room so no one sees me. Which makes no sense cause i live in the country and i have nothing to worry about. But i understand where you are coming from. But think of it this way, one day it could save you life. <3

You could be one of those people who are scared of germs or something. I'm kind of the same way. I won't open doors with my bare hands I'll pull my sleve down or something and when grocery shopping I won't push the buggy. I try not to touch anything thats in the public and has been touched by the public. I try not to have to go into the hospital to visit people if I can and I always use the hand sanitizer out side the door even if I don't touch anything and I also try to hold my breath the whole time Im in there. -I know I'm weird lol- Being extra cautious about whats going on outside at night is probably a good thing. Many people disregard it and then there house gets broken into or whatever. At night I look out all my windows probably three times and make sure everything is locked. Even when I hear a noise I get up and check it all again. When I walk alone at night I have 911 dialed on my cell phone already. I don't know why I do this either. You could try and talk to you docotor about it and see if he/she can give you any reasons as to why you do this but really I don't think its that big of a thing unless its like obsessive compulsive and your washing your hands 60 times a day (wait I do that) ummm Other peoples hair is gross - who would want to touch it? Not I. Maybe try usuing your shower head to spray it down the drain or something. Also who wants to touch someones gum under a table?? Gross Anyways I don't think any of this is abnormal and I just think I went on about nothing.

Everyone has their own little paranoid fazes, It could be from things in chilhood, from things you have seen or heard on TV, you never know, just try and find out what exactly you think you dont like about the dark or mint in your case and try to overcome it, I am scared of a few things i.e dark windows, I have to close the cirtains!

Your perfectly normal Rachel, everybody has a certain fear like that. I always have to face the wall when I'm in bed because it makes me feel safer, somehow, and at night, I always tip toe to the toielt if I wake up during the night and need it, because it feels like I'm being watched. It's perfectly normal, don't worry

omg I could never sleep facing the wall. I need to have a veiw of my whole room so I have moved my bed up against the wall long ways and sleep with my back facing the wall. I even have a dim light on. See Rachel we all do weird things.

Wow, thanks Beautiful Disaster, I used to never be able to do that, I always think someone is sitting in my seat watching me or someone is looking through the window, you grow up with your own comforts and when you actually realise them they are stupid things!

I don't think its wierd, heck, I used to feel the exact same way. I thought there would be like Snipers on top of the hospital waiting for a clear shot...
