For the past 5 years I've been home schooled. Why? because believe it or not I have a 2 year old daughter. The reason I started home schooling is b/c I'm partially deaf. I was teased a lot and then I became pregnant so I had to be home schooled. I was teased, called a *beep*, and got a lot of pity from teachers and students. I am planning on going to public school next year but I am so nervous. I'm afraid I won't be accepted by my peers b/c I am deaf and have a child when I'm so young. Any advice?

Do it. You can't let things like this hold you back, especially if it's your education. This is something important, and you should get the best education you can. Just don't pay attention to anyone, that'll give you more time to focus in on school.

Thanx, I'll try. It's gonna be hard, but I'll do it for Kira (That's my baby girl's name)

If there isn't anyone else besides yourself, do it for your baby. After all, your education effects the baby too. And good luck, focus and don't give up. And your're welcome, and good luck with the baby too.

Don't go to the school thinking your going to make friends. Just say to yourself I'm doing this for me and my Kira (which is a beautiful name btw). This way your main focus will be school and you won't notice other people. If you make new friends thats great but don't make it one of your main priorities. Your partly deaf so you can still hear right? I doubt anyone will notice if you don't say anything. Kids can be mean and blunt but you know that they aren't trying to hurt your feelings right, They just don't know how to accept people they aren't used to being around and when they get older they will learn that. If you feel ready then go to school. I think it will be a good idea. Your not a "*beep*" for having a baby so young. Things happen right? Don't let people get you down. I hope you have a good time at school and if you ever do have a bad day you can always come here right.

Thanx for all of the advice! Yes, I can still hear but not very much and I tend to talk loudly b/c I can't hear myself talk. Thanx, GrapeJuice, I loved the name Kira too

Aww! All I can do is echo what other people have said. Do it for Kira... (got any pics btw? ) And do it for your education. How old are you?

Aww your girl is soo CUTE!! lol sorry..she's just so adorable. You know, I agree that 14 year olds are much more mature and caring than 12 year olds are. At my school, if you teased someone for being partially deaf or for having a disability, no one would like you. Go to school because it makes you feel better knowing that you can do it, and know that it doesn't matter whether or not these people like you. You have a beautiful little girl and a family that loves you. Don't let what others say hurt you.
Oh, and how big is the school you're going to?
