I smoke when I'm depressed or sad or mad and i helps and i also drink Volka... I makes me feel better but then again it scares me cuz I'm afraid of turning into my mom who is a big drunk who ignored her kids mostly me for a long time and i dont want to turn out with her.... I dont know what to do

First of all. I know exactly what your going through.. You need to figure out different stratagies to use when your upset. Smoking will become an additction, and then you will have a hard time getting out of it.
Now with drinking. I do the exact same thing. And with that. I used to become an alcoholic, which is bad, so I spent many weeks trying not to drink.
My stratigies when I'm upset is I PM someone. Go for a walk, listen to music, talk on msn, write things on a paper, and throw it out, or e-mail a friend.

Use your mom as your motivation, If you don't want to be like her - don't do what she does. When you do things your mom has done, your doing them (sometimes) because thats what you saw her do. Its not healthy for you, you seem to of grown up in a house with alcohol so your chances of being an addict are increased. Put your foot down now - don't be like her, don't ruin your body. Find some other way to release stress.

Do you play a sport or something? That can help. Write, walk, listen to music, etc-there are a ton of ways to relieve stress. Also, give yourself rewards for a day or whatever is longer than normal without cigarettes and alcohol. In a sense, when you are stressed or depressed, you basically need to replace your habit of using cigarettes and alcohol with something that won't ruin your body. Like Beautiful Disaster said, use your mom as movitation to keep away from those habits. I believe there are support groups for people with problems similar to your problems, and that will help you find some other ways to relieve stress as well.

I use to play softball and i go horseback riding but i can't play softball since i had my accident playing it....... Right now i can't go off my street right now so i can't go walking but yeah but i tried about the thing with my mom it dont work cuz i tired that with cutting and it didnt work so........
