I'm a writer who loves to write. Lately though I haven't been able to write like I use to. I haven't had the same feeling nor have I been able to write a decent thing. I think my muse is gone. I don't know what to do from here. I've been thinking about quitting writing all together.

I know what you mean. I absolutely love writing, and there are times when I can write pages worth of words. But, there are also times when I'll go for days without writing a single thing. Sometimes writing doesn't "feel" the same, like you said. Sometimes it seems like I lost the gift and motivation for writing. It happens to everyone. The important thing is that you love writing. You're going to have those times when you hate your writing. But write for yourself, not for others. Try to develop your technique and style. You shouldn't stop just because you haven't been able to write anything lately. Sometimes the best thing you can do is just not think about writing, and go on doing things like normal. When I can't write, I don't sit down with a notebook in my hand and force myself to think of something. Eventually, I always get that sort of writing itch where I have to grab a pen and paper. Writer's block is temporary, so don't let it get you down.

I've been like this for three months roughly. And writing is the only thing I do and that I am good at. Sometimes it feels like i'm only liked for my writing. Thanks for your advice though.

Maybe you're trying too hard? Sometimes the more you think about it, the harder it is to do. Writing doesn't come naturally if you're thinking you need to write something today. Has anything been going on lately that's been troubling you? I find that whenever I'm extremely upset that I just can't write anything at all. Sometimes you need to clear your head, get out of the house, listen to some music.
Something that has helped me write more was just keeping a sort of journal type of thing. I'd even spend an hour writing about how I couldn't write. lol I was into writing poems and lyrics for a while, and just writing my random thoughts down helped me a lot. I got so used to writing at night everyday that it's just a habit for me now. Try rereading your favorite authors and books. It can get you in the mood for writing. Just curious, but what sort of things do you write?

That's a possibility. Nothing's really happened at all. And I haven't been interested in reading much anymore either for some reason.
I write just about anything, screenplays, poetry, songs, fantasy, romance, etc.
