i herd my gf had two stds before crabs and warts how can I tell with out asking her?

Why not ask her about it? You don't have to come right out and say you heard it from someone else. Maybe you could tell her you read an article about STIs, and you decided to go get tested just to make sure. Then ask her if she would want to join you. There are lots of STIs out there that many people have and don't know it, so you can just say you want to make sure.

Your best course of action would be to ask her. If you're in a relationship, both of you should be able to be open with one another. Ask her about it, just don't mention that you heard about it or somebody told you. If she questions you as to why you are asking, just tell her you want to be safe with any future sexual encounters.

STD stands for "sexually transmitted disease" ; STI stands for "sexually transmitted infection." They usually mean the same thing. I think STI is the more "appropriate" term these days because you can spread a lot of things through sexual contact, both diseases and things that aren't diseases, so it's easier to call them all "infections."
