I wouldn't look at ADD or ADHD as a bad thing, many of the people who come up with cool new ideas or experiments have ADD or ADHD. It makes you think outside of the box and your mind wanders from thing to thign so your always discovering new things.

I agree with both of those things. If you don't mind me asking, why?

I used to play a games with someone who has ADD. It was pretty hard sometimes because he couldn't talk and play at the same time. Multitasking was to hard for him to do. He was of course very hyper but no he wasn't treated any different or anything. Yes theres a lot of ppl who have ADD and are just fine. Its sometimes hard to find out if someone even has an ADD problem thats why they get put thru test and what not. so don't worry much about it, it nothing to be afraid of. if you want to read up on it just go here this maybe a bit more helpful en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention_Deficit_Disorder

Well, as much as the lapse in concentration is hard. (I have mild Add, which means all get is distracted easily) You get increased creativity - which is good for me cause I rely heavily on stuff like that. Sorry, I can't really descirbe it. My add faded out as I grew and now I only have the positive effects. Here, I'll copy and paste some relevant information from wikipedia that should help. Positive aspects Although ADHD is considered a disorder, some view it in a neutral or positive light. Rather than assuming that ADHD is inherently negative, some argue that ADHD is simply a different method of learning as opposed to an inferior one. "While the A students are learning the details of photosynthesis, the ADHD kids are staring out the window and pondering if it still works on a cloudy day" (Underwood). The aspects of ADHD which are generally viewed negatively can be a potential source of strength, such as willingness to take risks. "Impulsivity isn't always bad. Instead of dithering over a decision, they're willing to take risks" (Underwood). Both a proponent and an example of this point is JetBlue Airways founder David Neeleman. He considers ADHD one of his greatest assets and refuses to take medication.[59][60] There has been little serious research into either the intellectual advantages it can provide, or into conditions which might be necessary for taking advantage of ADHD traits. Many professional counselors emphasize to persons diagnosed with ADHD and their families the perspective that the condition does not necessarily block, and may even facilitate, great accomplishments. Most frequently cited as potentially useful is the mental state of hyperfocus. Lists of famous persons either diagnosed with ADHD or suspected (but not necessarily known to have had ADHD) are numerous, such as Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, and former Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw, but currently lack scientific proof because ADHD was not a documented medical condition until its appearance in the DSM-III in 1980. Still, a wide body of evidence statistically points to numerous diminished outcomes throughout the lifetime of those with ADHD [1]. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention-Deficit_Disorder#Positive_aspects
