Ok, I am a tomboy type gal, I don't wear make up, and I don't totaly cordinate my cloaths. But they noramlly do match. And today, someone asked me if I was a lesbian. Which I am not at all! I've been taking it harder as time goes on. I havn't told my friends, or family (though, one of my friends will find out when she reads this) and I and really getting depressed. With all the tence moments around home, from hoeminprovement, I have no good, quiet time to tell my family. Especialy since someone else is always around. Its just, I look in the miror and think, How do I look gay? I mean, most (not all...) lesbians look more "guy-ish" Shorter hair, dressing in GUY cloaths, hangs out with more guys, ect. Sure, I have guy friends, so does everyone else. I also have gal friends, jsut like everyone else. Yes, I do have a deep voice for a gal. Sure, we make fun of it alot. I laugh as well, but, how does that help with me being gay? its really eating me up! Since I am a christian, being gay is not an option. And I don't want to be a gal who can't live w/o make up and what not. And, the guy who asked me, said the person next to him wants to know, but I dougt it, since he is a jerk anyways. Even if he didn't mean it, its eating me! I also don't know how to tell my pa. Cause he will be all baby-talk like. And I don't like that. I just do not know what to do

First of all, it's not an insult to be gay. It's a part of life. There is no way to "look like a gay person" since gays come in all shapes and sizes just like straight people. There's no problem in wearing your hair short, dressing in guy clothes (I do that alot), or having a deeper voice then most girls. The people who just straight out asked you if you were gay sound extremely rude.
Second of all, not wearing make up is fine. I only wear concealer and eye liner. Nothing else. My sister wears no make up at all. She hates it. You do what you feel comfertable with. You wear what you want, put on make up if you want to, because in the end only the people who care about you will notice any changes.
And lastly, it's okay to be christian and gay. Christianity teaches people that gays and bisexuals are signs of the devil but their not. Gays and Bi's are the same as any straight person. Wheather your good or evil shouldn't be about what gender you love it should be about your actions. I was Catholic for a while but I couldn't take their views and teachings on gays so I switched religions. I think it's wrong to teach that being different means your the devil.
If you don't want to tell your dad then you don't have to. You can go to a trusted adult or a friend that you can trust. It's wise to go to your parents because no matter what they will love you. If you tell him and he does the baby talk then tell him that you would preferr to have an intelligent conversation or it will be the last one you have with him. Let him know that you aren't a baby and that you want to be treated like your age.
I hope this has helpped you and if you ever want to talk just private message me or ask me for my screen names. I have AIM and YIM and will be glad to talk to you in a more private place. I hope everything goes well.

Well, as long as you dont feel gay, there isnt really a problem. If you are comfortable with the way you look, then dont change for other people. Just ignore people who make comments like that to you

Its just really hitting home. I am not saying, I don't like gays, heck, they are awesome! Just, I don't want to be called one! And I am a horsey gal, and that might sway the opinions. I just don't want to have that type of image!

Just ignore people who make comments like that to you exactly what I said ^-^ except mine was spaced out over four of five paragraphs. haha but don't change who you are just for those jerks. I have been asked if I was gay a couple of times too but I just tell them. "It's my business." And walk away.

Yeah, I often get asked if I am gay, mainly because I'm always hanging off of my male friends, and get them jumping on me and stuff. (and I act like a drama queen) But no, I'm straight ^_^

Girl who cares what they think. If your not gay don't let it bother ya. The only thing that matters is that what YOU think. When people ask me if I'm something I'm not I don't say no and walk away. That leaves the door open still for them to think how they do. What I do is give them the "Your stupid" look or "what are you talking about your stupid" look. You know kind of raising your eyebrows with a smirk on yer face. Works wonders you should try it out. Christianity does teach that but if your not gay then it doesn't matter right? Dress how you want, act how you want and don't let others bring you down. You are who you are. A beautiful girl that doesn't need make-up or pretty dress's too look good.

Just because you dress a certain way or don't wear make-up it doesnt make you gay. You know your not gay theres nothing to prove. Ignore it and they will let it go.

Yeah, the truth will get out sometimes. If you know you are not gay, then you are not. Like the whole world is saying, your looks don't define your personality and they define your sexuality either. I wonder if any of those people who first started calling you gay were jealous at the fact that you were confident about dressing differently then what others or the media says.

I also believe that being gay is wrong. I don't wear makeup, my hair is long but, I also don't participate in normal "girl activities" like doing each others make up and boring stuff like that There is nothing wrong with the way you are. You're you and don't ever let anyone change that! ((I am not saying this as an offense to people who are gay, I have no problem with it, but I do not believe in gay marriage. I myself would never want to be gay as a christian.))
