I agree with sparkle, you shouldn't have to change for her and she cant stop him from going out with you. Just try your hardest at school and if he really loves you he wont care about that!

In the long run the decision is his. If he is smart he will be with who he wants to and not who his parents want him too be with. You could change her mind by your attitude, personality and other traits you have.

When you are around her change your attitude towards things, if you are a pessimist then be a procrastinator! Show her that you truly love her son that you are willing to "change"

Smartness can be percieved in different ways. Obviously he is academically smart. Maybe you're realistic. Maybe you have 'street smarts', i.e. real-world experience. That kind of balances it out.
