Can you put a tampon in when you are not on your period? When you put it in, should it hurt?

Dont be embarrased :] why would you want to put on in if you didn't need to? If you're doing it right it should not hurt. Follow the directions on the box :]

it dosn't hurt. For a week I thought I was going to have it, and I had water polo, I put in in just incase. No, it does not hurt or anything. it is exactly the same, during your period.

It might be uncomfortable if you are not on your period because there's nothing lubricating the vagina (as menstrual blood does when you're on your period). When you're bleeding, things slide in easier, so it shouldn't be uncomfortable. If it hurts after you have put it in, there may be something wrong. Make sure you read the directions carefully.
