How should I explain this...
Okay, I have 3 cats the I love like crazy and would never give them away, however there is this issue with them that is bothering me and maybe my parents. My cats love to use my clothes and anything on the floor (besides the floor itself) as a litterbox. I constantly find areas where their "business" is scattered around because I dislike cleaning and can't find time to clean up my room. Sometimes I worry that I smell like my cats. They don't really use the litterbox, but I notice they only do this in my room, not anywhere else. I also notice that my 2 older cats sometimes block the youngest one from various parts of the house. Does anyone have any ideas before I get used to that stinking smell?

If your room and clothes smell like cat then chances are you do too (at school etc) Is your room the messiest in the house? They probably think your room is a litterbox and know no different. Have you litter box trained them before?

Yep, they use to be perfectly fine with the litterbox. I keep my clean clothes out of reach of the cats right now- So I probably smell a little like cat but no one, not even my parents seem to notice... And my room is defintely not the messiest room in the house-

lol they seem to be comfortable in your room then, Try keeping everything you can off the floor and see if that helps.

Okay, I will. Maybe that's their way of telling me they love me! *starts cleaning up*

How old are your cats? I would suggest setting up a litterbox somewhere in your room. Then I would clean the whole room so that the cat's can't smell their urine. I would also put some of their scent in the litterbox. That should help but make sure that the cats are out of the room when you clean so that they don't remember where they went to the bathroom. Good luck

Two of them are 5 years old and the youngest is barely a year old.zz Nothing is on the floor of my room now except furniture and boxes. I probably should wash the floor too, but I'll have to wait until next weekend. When I find time, I'll grab the litterbox, clean it, and put it in my room.. I hope that works...

good idea on washing your carpet. if they smell their "territory" they are probably going to go back to the same spots. you have to get rid of that smell completely in your room.

*smiles* Good thing I don't have carpet but some laminated covering on my floor-that will make everything easier to wash and clean. Also, I just found out this morning that one of my 5 year old cats will kick the other two out of the litterbox areas and prevent them from doing whatever they have to do. What should I do about that?

Yes, I would get more litterboxes. Sometimes cats like their privacy too. Your kitty may not like his buddies in his space. Maybe you could find places where your other two fluffballs like to be a lot and set a litterbox there.

We only have 2 litterboxes due to the fact that 5 years ago I had only one cat who spent a lot of time outside so...Well, I'll find something-it can't be too hard because the cat that is kicking the other two out is sorta overweight so I find a place where she can't jump to but the other two can...
(I'm happy! Why? Because I caught one of my cats that love to use my clothes as a litterbox actually using the litterbox today!)

Putting the litterbox where the other one cant reach is a good idea! Cats are stinky
