It makes me laugh what kind of rumours go around about things like this. Now all that aside. No..you cannot die from bleeding to death on your period. The average period lasts for about 3-7days,and all the blood you lose, only adds up to about 4 tablespoons,so its hardly nothing! Periods cant kill you...

I know it may seem scary, but dont worry, the human body is perfectally capable of looking after itself. However, you want to use pads or tampons to make sure you dont get your pants dirty There is absolutely no danger in periods (although I am a guy) Some may be heavier then others but the lost blood is quickly made up for by your body, so there is no need to worry, you loose far more blood in accidents then you will loose in your periods

Having your period isn't the same as bleeding from an injury... your uterus builds up a lining over a month's time, and at the end of the month, it sheds. You're only going to "bleed" out the amount of lining that there is -- it's not like you start bleeding and then you can't stop. Don't worry, your body will do it all on its own, and it'll be fine! Good luck!
