Yes, it's because most guys don't care about how they look. If someone is a little overweight, or just trying to get in shape, they may stop eating and get some type of an eating disorder because of it.

Yeah.. this is quite a common mistake, but I know a few guys who have suffered from ED's, but this is less talked about than girls ED's.

guys get eating disorders too not just girls. The media just pays attention to how girls should look and what they are doing looks wise more then guys so you dont hear about it.

Here is a random result site i got from searching google: www.something-fishy.org/cultural/issuesformen.phpSince i started visiting sites that are to help teens with problems, and for depression, suicidal thoughts, self harm etc,ive read many posts where guys think/know they have an ED. Its quite common..but not as publicised or well known.

A simple answer...yes, guys can have eatins disorders too. Cutting didn't used to be a big problem either. It was one of those things where you hardly ever heard of it, and it was a big secret type of thing. But...well now look how that has changed. Just because you don't really hear about it doens't mean it doesn't happen. In a way, it makes it harder for guys because no one expects if of them. And when they admit they do have a problem people look at them like they're weird, when if it's a girl, they just blame the media.
