I hope that this still qualifies for this area. I'm not really sure.
This year at school, there were a few girls who were basically the same size as me trying to start a rumor that I was anorexic. One of these girls began to come up to me and ask me if I was done with my lunch for a little while shortly afterwards. This summer, when I was on vacation in Washington, D.C., I overate at McDonald's (I seem to have difficulty burping, so I usually just hurl every time I eat way too much), and threw up in a trash can on the way back to the hotel, and my dad had a serious face as he asked me how I threw up... My mom had told me this winter when I kept getting sick for a just a day, but always ended throwing up... that my dad thought I had an eating disorder (bulimia). And I was very upset that night. My parents went down to the courtyardthinger to smoke cigarettes, and I locked myself in the bathroom, sat on the counter, and let myself cry quietly for a couple of minutes.
I'm way too shy to stalk up to every single person who thinks I'm too skinny (I'm 14 years old, 5'4" and last time I checked I was 98 pounds) and scream in their face that I wouldn't do that to myself. I don't really care what people think. But lately... people like my dad, one of the two people that everyone says that I should trust, are the people that don't believe me. I was scared of my dad until last year, when I was 13. And I still don't think that I can go and talk to him about it. It's just too sensitive of a subject. It's times like these when you want to go back to elementary school, before that stupid seventh grade health class last year where the teachers taught all the students that there was a such thing as an eating disorder.
I think I just need someone to talk to, who might understand why everyone seems to lack the ability to trust me... until everyone finally decides to. Is there someone here like that?

have you checked you BMI? I think your underweight. If your scared of over eating at McDonalds then don't eat there I mean lots of people don't eat a McDicks just because there food is all processed and discusting I think anyone who saw someone throw up after meals would automatically assume that. If you have troubles burping maybe go see a doctor? I mean do you get full where your stomach feels like its going to pop or something? Or just the feeling like you have to burp but you can't? BTW I used to have a huge ED.

It's the feeling that I have to burp, but I can't. I'm sorry... but what is a BMI? XD. I know that I"m underweight... compared to most everyone. My mother is Japanese, and I went over there and looked perfectly average. I'm honeslty not sure what to do - I talked to her and she says that I'm totally fine, but my dad says that I need to eat more, and all my friends have mixed feelings... I guess I could just say that I'm confused. Heh. It wasn't just McDonalds, either... sorry for not making that clear. Kinda spaced right now. I almost threw up tonight, actually, because I didn't eat my actual lunch until an hour before dinner... and I didn't think I could make it from my chair to the bathroom.
Thank you so much, though. I think I really am going to avoid McDonalds unless there's nothing else for miles. I saw the educational version of Supersize Me, but I guess I just have to eat something if we go in a restaurant and someone else gets something, even if I'm not hungry at all because I just snacked on something fifteen minutes ago.

BMI is your Body Mass Index. It says what your average weight should be for your Height etc. You can find a calculator for it simply by searching on google.com for BMI.
Just eat when your hungery and don't over eat. Sometimes its the food that you eat that make it hard to burp so eat healthy. Also the feeling of having to burp but can't is usuallly indigestion.

Oh. XD. Cool. I'll check that out...
Indigestion? Wow. XD. I haven't burped in a long time... but I'll look into that.
I just think that it's really crazy how people can't accept that I just might be made to be skinny, besides my mom of course, because she was skinny too. Everyone where she comes from is...
*Sigh* People these days.
Anyways... I'm blabbing. Thank you very much for the help!!!

I went ahead and calculated your BMI judging by what you said above, 5'4 98Lbs. 18.5 and under is underweight, You scored 16.8. On the site I was at it's considered the weight of someone who is anorexic. Now it all depends on your situation though. You said you come from a Japanese background and most Japanese girls are tiny. This does not mean you can't gain weight though and be healthy for yourself. Here is a site if you want to check your BMI yourself. www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/Indigestion - Indigestion is a vague feeling of abdominal discomfort -- possibly including a feeling of fullness, belching, bloating, and nausea. Common Causes * Overeating * Eating too fast * Significant caffeine intake * Eating fatty or greasy foods * Overindulgence in alcohol * Tobacco smoking * Eating spicy foods * Emotional trauma or nervousness * Drugs such as antibiotics, aspirin, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) Indigestion is a common problem. It may be triggered by eating particular foods or drinking wine or carbonated drinks. It may also be caused by eating too fast or overeating. Some people may find that spicy foods, high-fiber foods, fatty foods, or too much caffeine can all aggravate this problem. Symptoms may be worsened by anxiety and depression. Ways to treat indigestion are to eat in a calm environment, Avoid over eating, Eat healthier food, Chew really good, Avoid excitement or exercise soon after the meal etc.

Hey, thanks ^-^. You're one of the first people that took my heritage into account, including the people at school and my own father. You and my mom are the only people that pointed that out... But yes, I know. I need to gain a little weight. The problem is that I have a fast metabolism or something... I was at 110 once, and I was very happy with it, but I get back on the scale a week later and I'm back down to 98 pounds...

For some reason whenever I eat too much junk food I throw it up too. My body just cant handle all the chemicals being put into it, so it removes them using the quickest method possible. There is probaly something in the food that both of us cant handle, because it happens almost everytime I eat at a fast food joint.
As for fixing that, I would ask your doctor. Mine put me on a pill called Nexium, which really helped the reflux. Ask about that, because It really helped me control it.

I agree with Little Mikey- go to your doctor, tell him what you've said here (the physical side, not emotional unless you want to) and just ask if your weight is a serious issue to yuor health, and what you can do about it. It's always better to be safe than sorry, and I find doctors are always good however big or small your problem.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about Siera. I've been accused of being anorexic, belemic, you name it. But actually I just can't gain weight. If you watch me eat, you'd be surprised because im tiny im about to turn 15 and im only 104 pounds. I eat, and Eat, and EAT litterally 24/7 and don't gain a pound and i hate that.
