I was sexually abused when I was younger (8-12 yrs old) and I never told anyone in fear of starting trouble and people not believing me. I told someone last night that it happened but I refuse to tell who did it. I dont think I will ever say who did it but I just wanted to tell someone that it happened. Anyways they got mad at me for not saying who it was and said that I shouldn't of brought it up then. I don't know what to do now. Am I wrong for not saying and bringing it up? Some advice would be great thanks!

hey its not wrong to say say and not tell who it was...at least you builded enough courage to say just that bit.....you should tell the person wo got mad at you why you didnt tell them....and dont be afraid of the trouble it might cause you or the person who did it...

i did tell him why I wasnt saying who it was but he didn't care. He was litterly yelling at me and I just ran to our room and cried. It was more then just one person it was 3 people and if I tell it will probably break the whole entire family apart.

The person you told is wrong for getting mad at you. Its okay if you don't want to tell who did it but keep in mind that you have to live with this and its not going to be fun. You might feel better if you do tell but its up too you. Good luck with everything!

you were not wrong for bringing it up! If they got mad at you for not telling who it is, then they don't respect you. They should be SUPPORTING you, not being angry because you didn't say all the details. Don't let them pressure you into saying something you don't want.
